TOLEDO, Ohio – Dana Corporation’s Spicer Driveshaft Division has earned the 2000 Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Award for manufacturing.

The Baldridge Award is the premier quality award in the U.S. and is expected to be presented at a later date in Washington D.C.

The Spicer Driveshaft Division – the company’s second largest operating group in terms of sales dollars – is the second Dana operation to win the Baldridge Award. Dana Commercial Credit Corporation, the company’s leasing subsidiary, received the award in 1996.

The Baldridge award, often described as “the standard of business excellence,” was established by Congress to promote awareness of performance excellence, recognize quality and business achievements of U.S. companies, and publicize successful business excellence strategies. n
