VERNON BRIDGE, P.E.I. – Drake Truck Bodies has expanded its manufacturing facility to 23,000-square feet, which will increase the production capacity by 300-400 per cent.
There are now three more service bays and one new delivery bay, which will help address Drake’s increasing product demand.
This is the fourth expansion for Drake since its birth in 1983, and it will allow the company to add refrigerated pup trailers to its production line alongside dry and refrigerated truck bodies, refrigerated trailers, flatbed or stake and rack bodies.
Allison Drake, founder and vice-president of sales and marketing, says the growing industry of truck body manufacturing is fueled by an evolving trucking industry and an improving construction industry, and Drake is answering to this by offering smaller, more specialized, trucks and trailers.
The Tag-Along trailers are offered in lengths from eight to 16 feet and the B-trains are available in 28- to 32-foot lengths.
