TORONTO, Ont. – Ontario’s Ministry of Transportation (MTO) is reminding drivers the extension to renew their licences, announced during the recent provincial labor disruption, ended Aug. 2.

In order to ensure customer convenience, the province extended drivers’ licences and many vehicle permits, which expired Mar. 13, or later, to Aug. 2. Extended licences and permits also include: driving instructor licences; disabled person parking permits; commercial vehicle permits; temporary (trip) permits and annual oversize/overweight permits.

Customers with questions on licence and permit extensions or other services can:

1. Visit the MTO home page at www.mto.gov.on.ca

2. Call the MTO Infoline at 416-235-4686 in Toronto, or toll-free at 800-268-4686.
