KALAMAZOO, Mich. – Eaton Corporation recently announced a five-year agreement with AutoXray, Inc. to provide a new line of diagnostic tools and service products for commercial vehicle service.

The new line of tools will be the first entry in an evolving line of products and services Eaton will provide to the commercial vehicle service marketplace under the trademark Eaton MD, which stands for Mobile Diagnostics.

“This agreement is a significant first step toward supporting our customers throughout the entire life cycle of their trucks,” says Jeff Romig, general manager for Eaton’s Truck Aftermarket division.

Eaton has worked with AutoXray over the last several months to blend Eaton’s diagnostic expertise and software into the MD Tool series.

The MD Tools will support service technicians in diagnosis of most vehicle electronic systems, and a broad range of tool sets, options and accessories will be offered in 2003.

“Our ability to communicate using current trucking industry standards, and to add new standards as they are introduced ensures that Eaton’s diagnostic tools will be the most flexible and affordable in the market,” says William Miller, president and chief executive officer of AutoXray, Inc.
