EDMONTON, Alta. – Edmonton Kenworth has received the nod as the Kenworth North American Dealer of the Year during the company’s annual dealer meeting in Washington State.

The award recognizes the Kenworth dealership leading the charge in customer service, after-sale support as well as a host of other areas. The award is based on Kenworth’s Dealership Excellence Standards and its annual Customer Satisfaction Survey.

“It’s a tremendous honor for our dealership and our employees to be selected as Kenworth’s Dealer of the Year,” says Gary King, president of the winning dealership. “We sell and service the best in Kenworth trucks and provide industry-leading customer support programs after the sale. It is certainly gratifying to me and our people to be recognized for our efforts.”

Edmonton Kenworth is a major supplier of equipment, parts and service to the oilfield, logging and highway markets around the provincial capitol and Northern Alberta. The dealership sells everything from the Kenworth T300 medium-duty products to the Kenworth C550 oilfield truck.

Edmonton Kenworth has three locations, including two in Edmonton and one in Lloydminster. Last year, the dealership opened a 48,000-square foot, state-of-the-art flagship facility in Edmonton featuring 24 service bays, including two drive-through service bays for Kenworth PremierCare ExpressLube service.

An alignment pit handles large highway haulers and oilfield trucks.

The dealership also boasts a huge indoor showroom, large parts display, comfortable driver’s lounge, showers, and a large parking area for tractor-trailers.

“To support our customers, we also operate a mobile service truck to go out and handle customer repairs in the field,” King says. “We offer the full range of Kenworth PremierCare program services, including contract preventive maintenance.”

Edmonton Kenworth isn’t new to the awards podium. The dealership won Kenworth’s Canadian Dealer of the Year Award for 2000 at last year’s dealer meeting.

Also recognized at the meeting as a Silver Award winner for 2001 was GreatWest Kenworth of Calgary.

“Edmonton Kenworth did just a fantastic job in 2001,” says Ed Caudill, Kenworth general manager and Paccar vice-president.

“They moved into their new flagship facility, which provided their customers with even more outstanding support and helped to significantly expand their business. Edmonton Kenworth truly represents the World’s Best.”
