NIAGARA FALLS, Ont. – As of July 17, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has been providing coverage at the Queenston -Lewiston Bridge on Sundays by remotely reviewing entries for trucks at the bridge from the FDA’s Alexandria Bay office.

Coverage will be provided between 3 and 9 p.m. Sundays unless the FDA issues a further notice to the contrary.

During these hours, truckers or brokers (only for those trucks actually at the bridge) are required to fax entry paper work for FDA review entries to the Alexandria Bay office at (315) 482-5164.

The sender must provide a contact name and phone number on the fax cover sheet.

The sender will receive an OASIS/ACS electronic response after the review of the entry. If FDA agents are interested in examining the truck or collecting a sample, the FDA reviewer will contact the sender to make arrangements.

For further information, call the Alexandria Bay office at (315) 482-5762
