FERGUS, Ont. – The Fergus Truck Show was among the “Top 50 Ontario Festivals” for 2005 unveiled recently at Festival and Events Ontario’s annual presidents gala.

Festivals named to the top 50 list were selected from among a total of 3,000 annual festivals and community events staged each year in Ontario, through a nomination process that included a pre-determined set of criteria.

The Top 50 Festivals are publicized in the 2005 Festivals and Events in Ontario Guide, which has a distribution of 250,000 and a readership of 750,000.

“It is a true honour to receive this recognition,” said Fergus truck Show administrator Sherry Clarke. “It’s very thrilling and exciting to be selected as a TOP 50 event in Ontario!”

President Wayne Billings said he was “extremely pleased.”

The 20th Annual Fergus Truck Show is slated to be held July 22 through 24 at the Fergus Community Centre, 550 Belsyde Ave. in Fergus, Ont.
