Fewer horses save fuel

Dear Editor,

We’ve had a number of inquiries about reprogramming engine horsepower. In some cases, engine hardware changes are necessary.

In the majority of cases, only reprogramming is required.

Resetting horsepower is a simple matter and can result in meaningful fuel savings. Changing horsepower back is also easy to do.

Reduced horsepower combined with fuel efficient driving can have a significant impact on fuel consumption.
