OSHAWA, Ont. – Former Owner-Operators’ Business Association of Canada (OBAC) accountant, Tony Leckie, appeared in an Oshawa court room for a second time March 29 to face a charge of fraud over $5,000.
During his brief appearance it was announced Leckie would be seeking the assistance of a legal aid lawyer. His case was then remanded to Monday, April 26, 2004.
When approached by Truck News, Leckie refused to comment on the case.
Leckie allegedly absconded with funds belonging to OBAC in September 2002 – just days after the association’s launch.
