HOUSTON, Tex. – Pennzoil-Quaker State Company will be giving away a free racing road atlas to every customer purchasing 10 gallons or more of Pennzoil Long-Life Heavy Duty Engine Oil in April.

“You have to love the road to be a truck operator, and we’re confident that these new Pennzoil Racing atlases will go a long way in helping the operators love the road even more,” says Jay Litsey, senior brand manager for Pennzoil Long-Life.

“They also include a wealth of information about tracks and racing, which is one of the most popular sports in trucking.”

The atlas promotion is an instant reward program – with no forms to complete or receipts to mail. Pennzoil Long-Life customers will receive the atlases (while supplies last) at all participating truck stops with every qualifying purchase.

Truck operators opting for a Pennzoil Long-Life oil change at a truck lube center or dealership will receive an atlas directly from the facility.

Mack deliveries through Jan. ’02

LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. – Deliveries from Mack Trucks through January 2002 totaled only 911 vehicles, a decrease of 52 per cent from the 1,915 units delivered during the same period last year.

In North America, only 796 new Macks joined trucking operations in January, down from 1,830 last year.

Several fleets, including Schneider National have already announced they will buy no trucks until the questions surrounding EGR-equipped trucks and October’s emissions deadline have been adequately answered.
