Garbage and cash should stay here

Dear editor,

Regarding the complaints over Toronto’s ongoing garbage issue, it just slays me that this garbage has been going past people’s doorstep for the past four or five years without anyone noticing.

The press gets a hold of it and gives everyone a wake up call, and then all the hands go up in the air.

The people didn’t want it in Kirkland Lake.

I thought this would’ve be a good idea, to keep our garbage in our own province, instead of paying the Americans to handle it for us.

If you have the time, take a drive to these communities and look to see what our garbage buck is paying for. Arenas and libraries … Go figure.
