Go Team!

SCARBOROUGH, Ont. – It takes a very special person to be a motivator, an innovator of new ideas, a good boss and an all around great person and OK Transport’s fleet manager Bill Dinino, has these qualities in the bag.

Dinino was this year’s recipient of Volvo Trucks Canada’s ‘Canadian Fleet Maintenance Manager of the Year.’

He has spent 38 years in the trucking industry with the last 12 of those spent at OK . He says it is the many facets of people with which he works that have won him the award.

“The Cam Woolley’s of the world,” he explains.

But most of all, Dinino says he has only merely accepted the award for the team with which he works.

“Without a team effort, it is pretty hard to accomplish some of your goals in life,” he says.

He is the manager of a team of eight: two foremen and six mechanics (two apprentices).

But work isn’t his only drive at the Lobraico run family business.

He is also an avid participant in fundraising for the Lobraico Cardiac Rehab Centre of Centenary Hospital and has raised approximately $10,000 for the cause.
