TORONTO, Ont. – Harper Power Products recently held an open house to celebrate the re-design of the customer reception area at the company’s headquarters as well as an impending makeover for the technician lounge area. Company executives recently gathered outside the Diesel Drive facility to thank their employees, who were then treated to a barbecue lunch.

John Cosgrove, COO of Harper Power Products, said the modernized technician lounge and revamped customer reception area were proposed as a symbol of appreciation for the company’s office staff and technicians.

“Part of our responsibility as a modern day employer is to give all of our employees – not just our office staff, but also our technicians – an environment where they are seen as an integral part of our business,” Cosgrove told Truck News.

Renovations to the customer reception area have now been completed. The technician lounge, featuring satellite TV, comfortable lounge chairs and a spruced-up grooming area, will open by the end of the year, the company said.

“It’s part of our approach to recognizing and appreciating the contributions our technicians make,” said Cosgrove.
