Hats off to a top instructor

Dear Editor:

I felt very inspired when I heard the recent news that recruiter David Brown, from Gibson Transport, was hired as an instructor at the Crossroads Training Academy in Barrie, Ont. Recruiter by day, instructor by night – what a concept.

With all the news today about driver shortages, apprentice programs for new drivers and many more issues relating to properly trained drivers for our roads, it’s about time we had people like Mr. Brown helping us.

It took a lot of research for me in finding a school that had the right courses and accredited instructors, not to mention finding the money for it, but knowing Mr. Brown will be in some of my classes I know where I am now heading. He knows how to teach and get the point across and I know that there are lots of drivers out there that owe their start to Mr. Brown at Gibson Transport.

My hat is off to Crossroads School in finding good people that care about the future of their students.
