HDDC plans new charity auction

MARKAM, Ont. – The Heavy Duty Distributor Council (HDDC) is now putting together plans for its first annual silent auction to benefit The Hospital for Sick Children Foundation in Toronto.

The event is scheduled for June 2, at the Embassy Suites Hotel, in Markham Ont.

In conjunction with the silent auction, there will be a full reception in the Century Showplace at the hotel.

The reception is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., at which time attendees who wish to will be able to view the auction items and enter their bids.

Bidding will officially close at 10 p.m.

The net proceeds from the charity event will be presented to a Foundation representative at the HDDC Business Conference Banquet on June 5.

The group’s charity event committee is now accepting donation items that would be suitable for the auction.
