NEW YORK, N.Y. – According to the May 6 issue of Time magazine, truck driving is one of the hottest jobs going. In an article entitled “The Coming Job Boom,” Time examines the current shift in the job market as the U.S. economy comes out of recession and baby boomers start retiring in droves.

The magazine says its hot jobs are those with the largest predicted growth between 2000 and 2010. Trucking actually tied with registered nurses for third place with 561,000 jobs.
