AYR, Ont. – Providing all of the due diligence work checks out, HTS Western Star and Parkway Sterling will merge to form a single company on May 1.
The resulting new dealership, operating primarily out of HTS’ Hwy. 401 and Hwy. 97 facility, will be known as Highway Sterling Western Star Inc., reports Dale Hallman, vice-president of sales.
He explains that a service presence will be maintained at the Parkway location, 455 King Street North in Waterloo, Ont.
“This was done to build a strong entity, offering a wide range of products and to bring together an outstanding sales network,” says Hallman. “The location in Ayr will now be open from 8 a.m. on Mondays right through until 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays … this really is a win-win for everyone involved.”
With everything from daycabs right up to high-end, custom sleeper and vocational trucks, Hallman says Highway Sterling Western Star is well positioned to build off the successes of both companies involved. He explains that many fleet customers will be able to benefit from specs and product lines that may have been previously unavailable to them. n
