TORONTO, Ont. – Manufacturers have been quick to respond to the recent tsunami devastation in South Asia and India.

Dana Corporation has contributed US$100,000 to the Red Cross. And Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems and its parent company, Knorr-Bremse, have combined to shell out more than US$2.6 million towards tsunami relief efforts.

In addition, both companies have announced they will match employee donations.

Dana will make a second contribution to the Red Cross by matching employee and retiree donations made to registered charitable organizations through January 31, 2005 that support the tsunami relief efforts. Bendix has been matching employee contributions to the American Red Cross International Response Fund throughout its North American operations.
