International Truck Route Way Overdue

Dear Editor,

(Regarding “Government moves forward with International truck route” which appeared on ww.trucknews.com)

Well, it’s about time. I do hope they build a system that will accommodate over-dimension loads.

As an oversized load escort, I have seen too many new routes and highways built without the consideration of wide or high loads. Makes you wonder what the MTO and DOT’s are thinking when they plan new overpasses and narrow bridges.

Now if only we could get some solutions to the Windsor, Ont. corridor and the Detroit Customs compound. Talk about outdated facilities! n
