Kinedyne Expands Engineering And R&D To Meet New Demands

Kinedyne Corporation, a major supplier of cargo control systems for the trucking industry, has expanded its engineering, quality and manufacturing groups with the addition of new software and equipment. The company has also enhanced its research and development capabilities.

Kinedyne has acquired a new SolidEdge CAD platform to expand its capabilities in parametric solid modeling, ANSYS software for finite element analysis, and data acquisition equipment for real-time and dynamic load analysis.

The company is conducting detailed testing using actual applications in trailers and on flatbeds to better understand the type and level of dynamic loads to which its products are subjected.

The company is also conducting research into various alternative materials for all types of cargo control products.

In addition to new product development, Kinedyne says it’s transforming production through the use of Lean Manufacturing processes, including robotics and material handling to improve efficiencies and profitability.
