Kudos to Armour

Dear Editor,

(With regards to “Walk for a Cure Results Triple With Help From Trucking Biz” which appeared in the Sept. issue of Truck News.)

I just finished reading the article concerning the Armour’s family involvement in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

As a former trucker, dispatcher and dock superintendent it is wonderful that companies the size of Armour would put forth such a tremendous effort to raise funds for such a horrific disease.

My wife of 27 years has diabetes and you would not believe the hardship that these people put up with in an effort to beat what is still an unbeatable disease.

My hat is off to the Armour family, its employees and their many corporate sponsors.

You deserve a great big thank you from all of us (former and present) employees of the trucking industry.
