WINNIPEG, Man – Manitobans can now use credit cards to pay for driver license renewals and other services.

“Society is less reliant on cash for everyday transactions than ever before,” said Highways and Government Services Minister Steve Ashton. “This move permits the use of two major credit cards for driver licensing services as a convenience to Manitobans.”

Effective immediately, provincial driver and vehicle licensing offices and participating driver licensing agents around the province will accept VISA or MasterCard. The cards may be used for driver license related services including driver licence renewals, record searches, and road and written tests when paying in person.

Interac or debit card service is also available at many outlets as an alternative method of payment. n
