Marine Atlantic Making It Easier for Trucks to Cross

Avatar photo

ST. JOHN’S, Nfld. – Marine Atlantic recently introduced a Carrier Forecast section on its Web site.

This service will allow a carrier to advise Marine Atlantic of the expected arrival of its equipment for crossings. A carrier will be able to go online and pre-book up to one month ahead the date and expected time for crossing and number of vehicles.

The pre-booking will allow Marine Atlantic to better serve the needs of the trucking industry by scheduling ships at appropriate times. The more the carriers utilize this service, the better the service will be.

Carriers simply need to obtain a password and username by contacting Murray Hupman or Bruce Simms at (709)695-4287 or (709)695-4308, and then visit www.marine-atlantic.ca/login.asp and log onto the Carrier Forecast site.
