Mobil’s CI-4 Delvac 1300 Super 15W-40 engine oil features new technology to deliver unprecedented oil performance in heavy-duty trucks, according to one of the company’s top techies.

Michael Ragomo, product advisor for ExxonMobil’s commercial vehicle lubricants presented the latest company findings at a press conference at the Mid-America Trucking Show. He stressed the Delvac 1300 Super 15W-40 oil uses patented Trimer technology to make it one of the most advanced heavy-duty engine oils available today. The oil is designed to help customers stay ahead of the looming American Petroleum Institute (API) CI-4 requirements for newly developed exhaust gas recirculation (EGR)-equipped engines.

“No one has logged more miles of testing EGR-equipped engines than Mobil,” says Ragomo. “We deliberately chose the highest test hurdles with EGR and conventional engines at our world renowned Paulsboro Technical Center.”
