Meritor announces new self-aligning center bearings
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – ArvinMeritor Commercial Vehicle Systems has announced the immediate availability of Meritor Gold self-aligning center bearings for the most popular heavy-duty truck and tractor applications.
The new, patent-pending design has been engineered to accept plus or minus five degrees of angularity to assure optimum alignment of the center bearing to the driveshaft under all operating conditions.
The new design offers protection of the bearing against contamination, and is now distinguishable from the old design by the distinctive gold color of the integral deflectors.
Separate dust shields (slingers) common to the previous design, are no longer required.
