MTO realigns new services

TORONTO, Ont. – The Ministry of Transportation has announced that, beginning Jan. 1, 2001, motorist conducting routine licensing transactions in Ontario will be directed to one of the existing 281 independent driver and vehicle licensing issuing offices located across the province. Services provided by the 281 issuing offices include driver’s license renewals, vehicle sticker renewals and changes of address. The ministry also announced that commercial carrier abstracts are now also available at these offices. The 53 driver examination centres located throughout the province will continue to provide driver examination and specialty services. n
