Mullen invests in Payne Tspt.

ALDERSYDE, Alta. – Mullen Transportation has announced that it will offer up to $1 million in capital to Payne Transportation, a new fleet to be based in Winnipeg. And with the investment, Mullen will hold a 45 per cent stake in the company.

Payne Transportation Inc. (PTI), founded by company president Tom Payne, will focus on long-haul trucking, using owner/operators to turn the wheels.

“We have an exciting growth opportunity here and we need to get to market quickly,” Payne said. “With their expertise, technology and support staff, it allows me to focus on … servicing our customers’ needs.” n
