ALDERSYDE, Alta. – Mullen Transportation has purchased Lloydminster-based Kam’s Oilfield Hauling, further expanding the company’s oilfield fleet.

The deal is expected to close Oct. 1 and will include all Kam’s assets and business.

Kam’s specializes in rig moving and oilfield-related services in northeastern Alberta. The acquisition includes 40 specialized oilfield power units, more than 100 trailers and a rental business operated by Kam’s. Also included are 50 well-site units, 35 mud tanks and three 20-man camp units.

“Kam’s has been servicing the heavy oil industry for a number of years and is now recognized as one of the largest oilfield services companies in the Lloydminster area,” says Murray Mullen, president and CEO of Mullen.
