FERGUS, Ont. – NAL Path Insurance is working with the Make-A-Wish Foundation to help make dreams come true for dozens of children with life-threatening medical conditions.

The two groups, along with Truck News and other sponsors, are collaborating at the second Annual Fergus Fundraiser, to raise money for 68 children who are currently awaiting wishes across southwestern Ontario.

The fundraiser will take place at the Fergus Truck Show July 27-29 at booths M27 and M28.

“It’s a great opportunity to give back to a great cause on behalf of our fleets and 15,000 members,” says Aaron Lindsay, transportation specialist with NAL Path. “With help from our generous sponsors we will be able to have a great time supporting Make-A-Wish not only with our members, but the whole trucking community.”

The fundraiser will include a silent auction, draws for prizes, games and the opportunity to have your picture taken with the new Make-A-Wish Dragster.

“They can expect to have a good time,” Lindsay said. “Grab a burger or hot dog courtesy of TA Truck Stop, get a massage courtesy of Canadian College of Massage Therapy or get a photo with the new Make-A-Wish dragster. Those who attend will also have a shot at winning prizes like a 37-inch flat screen TV, commercial truck tires, free fuel or cold, hard cash.”

Organizers are still looking for more sponsors, with platinum-level sponsors ($500 contribution) having their logos featured on the 53-ft Make-A-Wish sponsor trailer, located at the front entrance of the Fergus Truck Show.

“Sponsors will see their name travelling with the Make-A-Wish trailer for a full year, thanks to Action Trailer Sales and Southwood Graphics,” Lindsay said.

“Whether you would like to be a platinum sponsor or just give a small donation, every little bit counts. Sponsors are the driving force behind this event and a lot of recognition will be given to them this year,” Lindsay says.
