MISSISSAUGA, Ont. – Petro-Canada has introduced a new heavy-duty synthetic engine oil for off-road fleets.
DURON-E Synthetic 0W-40 oil has been formulated to help fleets operate in harsh, cold environments by providing longer-lasting protection in cold temperatures, smoother start-ups, improved soot dispersion and top-up performance as well as extended drain capabilities, the company announced.
“Our number one priority is bringing quality lubricants to market in a timely manner, to ensure that our customers’ needs are met,” announced Paula Del Castilho, category manager, commercial transportation lubricants, Petro-Canada Lubricants.
“Off-road customers in the mining, drilling, forestry and construction industries, for example, generally work in harsh environments. They were in need of an HDEO that could provide a number of performance benefits, including longer lasting protection in extreme cold temperatures, reduced viscous drag, exceptional soot dispersancy and extended drains. We formulated DURON-E Synthetic 0W-40 as the solution, providing all of these benefits and then some.”
The new HDEO uses the same performance additive Petro-Canada uses in its DURON-E 15W-40 oil and is suitable for use in EPA07 engines as well as older engines.
