TROY, Mich. – ZF Meritor LLC announced a new partnership with Sachs Mexico S.A. de C.V. which is a subsidiary of ZF Friedrichshafen AG.

Sachs will now manufacture current Meritor 14-inch and 15.5-inch Class 8 clutches in its Mexico facility. Exclusive sales and service representation will be available throughout North America executed by ArvinMeritor’s Commercial Vehicle Systems (CVS) North American Field Operations.

“Sachs has been deemed the partner of choice not only because they are a subsidiary of ZF, our existing partner in transmissions, more so because of their leading worldwide position in clutch technology,” says Rick Martello, president of ZF Meritor.

Sachs will be responsible for primary negotiation with North American OEMs. The product offering will include current Meritor clutch designs inclusive of any technology enhancements developed by Sachs. ArvinMeritor’s CVS North American Field Operations will maintain their relationships with fleets and dealers across North America and continue selling clutches through the Drivetrain Plus program.
