New President Appointed to Marine Atlantic

ST. JOHN’S, Nfld. – Transport Minister, David Collenette, recently announced the appointment of Roger Flood as the president and CEO of Marine Atlantic.

“I am pleased that Mr. Flood has agreed to take on new responsibilities with Marine Atlantic. His experience in the transportation sector and expertise in the areas of engineering, finance, management will be assets in this role. I also want to thank Capt. Sidney Hynes for his exemplary work in this position since 2001 and in his continued position as chair of the board,” said Collenette.

Flood currently serves as the president of Day and Ross (Nfld.) Ltd., where he is responsible for the daily operations of the company. He holds a bachelor of civil engineering degree from Nova Scotia Technical College and is also a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Flood is also Newfoundland and Labrador vice-president on the Atlantic Provinces Trucking Association.
