EDMONTON, Alta. – The Day and Ross General Freight division of the Day and Ross Transportation Group has begun construction of a $9.1 million transportation terminal in Edmonton.

Located at 15603-131 Ave. in Edmonton, the new facility will replace the existing Day and Ross location in the province’s capital and is expected to be completed in August.

“Similar to our other operations in Western Canada, the Edmonton terminal has been a fast growing location in recent years,” said Jean Marc Dubois, president of Day and Ross General Freight. “The new facility will allow us to maintain our efficient service, and provide us with the ability to meet increasing business demand in Edmonton and surrounding areas.”

Located on a 10-acre site, the new terminal will consist of a 4,464 square foot one-storey office building and a 17,955 square foot dock space with 31 doors.

Approximately 40 Day and Ross employees and owner/operators will be based at the terminal.

The transportation operation, offering LTL and TL service for dry and temperature-controlled goods, has 40 locations and across Canada.
