New TransCore software programmed to ease logistics

TORONTO, Ont. – TransCore Link Logistics has revealed the new 3sixty product suite, merging six separate logistics capabilities into a single platform for third-party logistics providers, shippers and carriers.

3sixty’s overall design aims to simplify access across services, minimizing time-consuming steps switching between multiple applications. 3sixty’s segments include the core capabilities to manage both large and small transportation companies.

The requirements to monitor and track freight, demand an intricate network of systems to provide in-transit visibility of freight movement, whether by truck, air, rail or intermodal. Businesses rely on this interconnected transportation network to meet quickly changing supply and demand.

Bringing 3sixty’s combination of tools into one platform and streamlining accessibility to resources increases visibility into freight movement from origin to destination, while easing operational demands, noted the company.

Operations Management (formerly Keypoint transportation management software) enables a freight broker or carrier – truckload or LTL – to control virtually every facet of its transportation process, from dock management to business analytics, dispatching to accounting, and is built to provide quick access to crucial data.

Freight Match, powered by Loadlink (Canadian-based) and DAT (US-based), provides a large network for freight and equipment matching. This service available to Canadian Loadlink subscribers provides a distinct advantage since it makes the use of multiple software applications obsolete. This product contains all of the features available in previous versions as well as some brand new integrated tools such as a Live Chat feature that allows users to communicate online with other 3sixty Freight Matching subscribers. An improved carrier download function allows users to zoom in on the areas where they are looking for trucks.

Fleet Management, powered by GlobalWave, provides truck and trailer tracking, in-cab communications and diagnostics reporting through GlobalWave’s all-satellite coverage network, as well as an RFID-based terminal management system. Real-time access to mission-critical information about drivers, equipment and assets improves dispatcher efficiency, maximizes driver performance and safety, secures assets and increases revenue per vehicle.

Rail-Intermodal, powered by Intellitrans, allows TransCore’s wireless RFID and satellite communication products to electronically identify and monitor rail and intermodal equipment. Incorporating this data into the track and trace software platform, enables companies to track and monitor assets and improve rail equipment utilization and reduce rehandles, dwell time and overhead.

Compliance Services manages carrier monitoring, fuel-tax reporting, titling/equipment compliance and the new US Customs and Border Protection Regulations-Automated Commercial Environment (ACE), keeping fleets, drivers and carriers in compliance with government regulations.

Financial Services provides financial efficiency through fuel management services, load payment guarantee, invoice management services as well as receivable factoring are available through a partnership with an international services provider.
