New Truck Stop to Open in Northern New Brunswick

GRAND FALLS, N.B. – Irving Oil Limited announced there will be another Irving Big Stop Truck Stop built in Grand Falls, New Brunswick.

Derek Cooling, national accounts manager for Irving Oil, made the announcement at the Atlantic Provinces Trucking Association’s annual convention held in Charlottetown, P.E.I.

It will be located on the Trans-Canada Highway at exit 75, which is a new exit leading into Saint Andr, N.B. Construction is expected to be completed in April, 2005.

The truck stop will be approximately 10,000 square feet and will include a family restaurant, a convenience store, a bakery and it will have the capacity to park 75 big rigs.

In addition to the driver lounge, the Big Stop will have other amenities for truckers such as laundry facilities and showers.

The design and decor of the building will be emblematic of the Northern New Brunswick culture and personality.
