EDMONTON, Alta. – Raydan’s Air Link air ride walking beam suspension has been selected as standard equipment on all U.S. Air Force R11 refueler trucks.

“We are very pleased to be the suspension of choice for this project,” said Ray English, president and CEO of Raydan. “Refueler trucks require stability and a smooth ride, both of which the Air Link provides. Due to their specific requirements and the unique conditions under which the refueling trucks operate, the U.S. Air Force conducted lab and field tests for six months before selecting the Air Link.”

This will be the first time the Air Link has been used by the U.S. Air Force on refueler trucks, which are built by Kovatch Mobile Equipment on chassis manufactured by International Truck and Engine Corp.

“As of May 24 the Air Link system will be installed on International’s assembly line, the first of a minimum expected production of 80 units per year leading to potential revenues of $6 million CAD through the duration of the project,” added English. “International was very keen on working with us on this project, and we anticipate working with them again on future projects.”
