Nfld. road work now underway

HUMBER VALLEY, Nfld. – Humber Valley Paving Limited, a Corner Brook company, has been awarded almost $3 million for road upgrades for Humber Valley and Humber East.

Road work areas will include the much needed work on the section of the Trans-Canada Highway between Power House Bridge and Pynn’s Brook, a section of Route 420, Godfather Cove Road, a portion of the old Trans-Canada Highway running through Pasadena and many local roads in Howley.

Minister of Works, Services and Transportation, Percy Barrett, along with Rick Woodford, MHA for Humber Valley and Bob Mercer, MHA for Humber East announced a contract deal for $2,839,592 to subsidize the much awaited paving and road repairs in the area.
