LEAMINGTON, Ont. – This truck, photographed by Mark Gagnier, belongs to Ron Saris of Leamington, Ont. It’s a 1999 Kenworth W900L, which ironically, rolled off the line on Ron’s birthday – Sept. 25, 1998.

Some of the features of the truck include: Dual CB radios; a 48-inch chrome shifter; a self-installed sunroof; a chrome steering wheel column; a chrome and leather steering wheel; and plenty of other chrome. The truck has been a fixture on the Show’n’Shine tour.

Under the hood is a 14-litre Series 60 Detroit. The truck and trailer together have 320 lights which can light up the night sky as seen in the top photo. The trailer is a 2003 Great Dane XLT made of stainless steel.

The truck was featured in the Shell Rotella SuperRigs calendar in 2005. The truck still earns its keep on the highway, usually on runs to Florida, Texas, Arizona and California.
