North Saskatchewan River Bridge set for improvements
REGINA, Sask. – The bridge on Hwy. 4 norhtbound, spanning the North Saskatchewan River near North Battleford, will undergo a six-month construction upgrade which began in April.
Saskatchewan Highways and Transportation will be widening and rehabilitating the bridge with work expected to run until Oct. 16.
This is the third phase of a four-year project and is estimated to cost $2.8 million. It will include removal and replacement of deteriorated concrete, removal of the existing concrete sidewalk, construction of the concrete deck to facilitate the widening of the roadway, replacement of the waterproofing system and asphalt surfacing.
