Not a rewarding experience

Rewards is an area where drivers and their employers seem to be miles apart. Drivers feel strongly that they should be rewarded for such things as on-time delivery and minimizing cargo damage. However, the survey clearly indicates that carriers are far from meeting their demands. For example, less than 15 per cent of the drivers surveyed said their carriers rewarded them for minimizing cargo damage and only seven per cent reported being rewarded for fuel efficient driving. Carriers do seem more willing to reward accident-free mileage. Almost 30 per cent of the drivers surveyed reported their carriers offering such rewards.
