CORAL HARBOUR, NU. – Significant transportation infrastructure improvements are in store for Nunavut with a new funding agreement of $6.7 million.

Transport Minister, David Collenette along with Manitok Thompson, Minister of Community Government and Transportation and Nunavut M.P., Nancy Karetak-Lindell, together signed the agreement for joint funding.

The projects will help Nunavut address its most pressing transportation priorities, like providing safe and efficient transportation systems, as well as lay a foundation for future transportation investments.

A 3.2 km seasonal road near Chesterfield Inlet and a new air terminal building at Coral Harbour are among the undertakings within this improvement plan.
