FREDERICTON, N.B. – New Brunswick’s Natural Resources Ministry is noting that it’s a stressful time of year for deer populations, which face the threat of oncoming traffic. Right now, the problem areas can be found on the Miramichi River, near Boiestown, Astle, Renous, Sunny Corner and Strathadam. Other problem areas are along Route 10, near Noonan, and Route 1 between St. Stephen and Saint John, according to the ministry. More than 1,500 of the animals are killed each year on the province’s highways. n
