TORONTO, Ont. – The Government of Ontario is going to spend more than $100 million to widen the Queen Elizabeth Way highway between Guelph Line, in Burlington, and Highway 403, in Oakville, as well as improve a number of interchanges.

The Burlington-to-Oakville work consists of cost-sharing the reconstruction of the existing Third Line interchange with the Town of Oakville. Construction of the new interchange will begin in spring 2002 and be completed by fall 2003.

The province will fund 62 per cent ($12.4 million) of the interchange project. Oakville will be responsible for the rest. n
