TORONTO, Ont. – The Ontario Trucking Association is planning to host a seminar on the new U.S. hours of service rules Tuesday, September 23.

The rule marks the first time since 1939 that the hours of service rules have been substantially changed.

According to industry insiders, the new rules more closely resemble those to be adopted in Canada.

The seminar will provide information on the daily off-duty requirements, the reset provision, and special considerations for short-haul truck drivers.

Watch the OTA Web site at www.ontruck.org for more information and a registration form.
