National Truck League (NTL) has appointed Lois Holden to the post of director of sales and marketing. Holden’s duties will include developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies to promote NTL’s custom insurance solutions to the trucking industry. Holden has more than 15 years of business management experience, including marketing, sales, operations, budgetary planning, and in developing distribution channels. She also worked for several years selling life insurance and segregated funds, before moving on to the mutual funds industry as a client services manager.

The Private Motor Truck Council announced with regret the passing of member Dave Deshane, with HBC Logistics. Deshane was a long-standing member and supporter of the PMTC having joined in 1988, and was an active participant on many PMTC projects. He died peacefully at home on July 22.
