Thermo King Corporation has named Steve Shawley president of Thermo King North America. He arrived at this post after five-years as vice-president and controller for Ingersoll-Rand. Shawley has held numerous financial positions with former parent company Westinghouse Electric Corp., and was responsible for operations throughout Europe, Asia, Latin America as well as North America.

Peterbilt Manitoba Ltd., recently launched a new business unit, Peterbilt Manitoba PacLease. It has appointed Robert Hotton president of this new division. Hotton brings over 20 years of commercial truck rental and full service leasing sales to the position, as well as management experience and a strong background in logistics.

Clarke Inc., a freight transportation and logistics service, recently announced changes to the company’s senior management team. George Armoyan will assume chairman role when current chairman and CEO, Roy Rideout, retires at the end of October. Armoyan is an engineer and currently is president of Geosam Investments Ltd. He says Clarke is moving forward and is positioned to improve returns from operations and take a strong role in the continuing consolidation of the industry.

Fuel Systems LLC recently acquired a new president and CEO. Chairman, Tom Begel, announced the appointment of Timothy Masek to head the company. In his announcement, Begel says this personnel move is a step towards the company’s long-range strategic plans. Masek has played a significant role in the development of other companies within the TMB Industries organization. Prior to this posting, Masek served as vice-president of sales and marketing for Transportation Technologies, as well as president of Bostrom seating, both business units of TMB Industries.

Westport Innovations has added two key senior representatives to its board of directors. The new additions to the board of directors include: Steven Chapman, Cummins vice-president, international and general manager international distributor business; and Elizabeth Carey, Cummins executive engineer, HHP natural gas and product line architect for power generation. Chapman has been with Cummins since 1985 and currently leads one of Cummins’ four business units. Carey, meanwhile, has been with Cummins since 1993 and has experience leading a number of engineering projects with Cummins.
