Denton, Tex. – Peterbilt has changed its transmission offerings in a bid to further the durability and performance of its product lines.

The RT Series 10-speed transmission has been replaced with Eaton Fuller’s new FR Series 10-speed model. The FR Series provides several benefits over the previous offering, including reduced weight – up to 32 pounds compared to the RT; greater reliability – due to wider gears, higher capacity bearings and larger shafts; and improved uptime – due to an improved output seal system, air system and synchronizer design.

The shift pattern and gear ratios for the transmissions are identical.

In addition, the new Eaton Fuller AutoShift Generation II 9 Series transmissions are also now available in Peterbilt trucks. n
