Premier should stand against oil companies

Dear Editor,

The premier of Ontario needs to take a stand against the oil companies.

The current prices of fuel are bankrupting small trucking firms and also hurting large trucking firms as well

If the Premier does not step up and take on these oil companies with the federal government, then we may see more truck shutdowns — meaning that some road construction projects will not be done before winter, leaving highways and municipal streets in poor conditions for winter.

Oil companies say they are not making money, but the four biggest made a combined total of $884 million in the last quarter.
