Pro drivers don’t need stability systems

Dear Editor:

When are our fearless leaders going to start delving into the root of the problem, rather than trying to close the barn door after the horse is gone? Based on the fact that all accidents are preventable and that mechanical failure accounts for about 1% of them, why are they not coming up with innovative ways to force the so-called “professional driver” to be precisely that?

It takes a lot of speed and force to roll a rig over. Let’s also keep in mind that when this rollover protection quits working, it is another reason to be hassled at the scale. I certainly do not need it and neither does any other professional driver. If you do need it, you are not a professional driver.
