CAP-SAINT-IGNACE, Que. – Prolam has announced it can now produce environmentally-friendly trailer floors.

Prolam’s two major hardwood suppliers have earned Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) certification, meaning they have taken measures to promote responsible environmental behaviour and sound forest management. SFI-approved companies take measures to protect water quality and wildlife habitat, among other things. Prolam says it can now produce about 3,000 trailer floors a year with 100% SFI certification. It claims to be the only trailer floor manufacturer to have this option. For more information on Prolam, visit www.prolamfloors.com.
